Friedman is Pecksniff
The world is all wrong, just ask Friedman. Kerry can't campaign. Bush can't aim. Friedman is best described by Charles Dickens, "Some people likened him to a direction-post, which is always telling the way to a place, and never goes there."
Twice a week, Thomas L. Pecksniff , "who has never designed or built anything," tells us how to fix ("Let me explain") the world, with his flat-earth, two dimensional reasoning.
Those that can do, those that can't teach, and those that can't teach write editorials for the NY Times.

Friedman has forgotten more about the workings of the Middle East than you'll ever know. GWB doesn't understand the situation in Iraq and neither do his advisors. This isn't the result they (or I, frankly) expected. However no one within the administration is willing to deal with the new circumstance. They thought handing over power to an interim government would be a step in the right direction yet they're still cutting off heads, blowing up Iraqi police recruits, and American soldiers. Four months later, the next step toward stability is an election where a significant portion of the population either can't or won't participate. The administration will call it a success while we continue to watch the situation slide further into chaos.
Friedman understands what's going on over there and he's not afraid to tweak anyone who doesn't, be it Bush or Kerry. A Kerry administration will certainly not be perfect, but it will be better than the one we have.
